Getting Your Kid Interested in the Bible
Parents today are facing a unique problem when it comes to teaching their children about faith and any particular religious belief. After all, kids born within the past ten to fifteen years are completely conditioned to pay attention to technological items. Whether they’re glued to their cell phones, watching television, or surfing the internet, kids today are simply part of the technological age. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It just means you have to adjust your tactics.
If you want to incite interest in the Bible, deliver these positive messages through various kinds of church software. By having your kid encounter Biblical stories and lessons through the computer, it will serve as a positive first step. On the other hand, sitting your kid down in front of a thick volumes of Vulgate Bible will only serve to intimidate, frustrate, or bore your child. Once children become familiarized with the stories, it will be easier to introduce them to the original text. Having some background on the stories allows the child to find the underlying themes with less difficulty.
